FreeUI (6.6)

Introduction

FreeUI is a minimalistic all-in-one UI. It's suitable for any playstyle and is designed to draw attention to important elements and reduce the visibility of the things you don't care about. A simple in-game setup interface with an optional tutorial gets you started in no time. Paired with its crisp Aurora window theme, low memory and CPU footprint, FreeUI is a solid interface for whatever you do.

Install

Drag the included addons to your AddOns folder as usual. Make sure the !Install addon is loaded before logging in for the first time with FreeUI on any character. You will be given the option to take a brief tutorial, or install the UI.

After the first installation, generally it is not necessary to run anything other than the chat installation on other characters.

Updating

When updating the UI to a newer version, you generally only need to replace the files that have changed from the latest build on my GitHub ("https://github.com/Haleth/FreeUI"). If you run into issues, however, it is recommended that you try a clean install.

Options

Options are available through the in-game options UI, which can be accessed from the game menu or by typing /freeui. You can also edit FreeUI/options.lua with a text editor to edit the options directly.

Support

Before you ask any questions (which I will gladly answer), please consider this first to help me save some time:

Read the tutorial included in the installer which you can bring up by typing /freeui install.
Check FreeUI/options.lua to see if there already is a setting for what you want to ask/suggest.
Read the FAQ and known issues below.

Q: How can I add more action bars?
A: Esc -> Interface -> Action bars.

Q: How can I move the unitframes/castbar or resize the party/raid frames?
A: Install oUF_MovableFrames or check FreeUI/options.lua.

Q: Where is the ToT (Target of Target) frame? I only see a name.
A: Enable it in the unitframes section of the options.

Q: What's that thing that shows buffs/debuffs on some classes?
A: Its the buff filter. Open FreeUI/options.lua and scroll down a little for the configuration (examples are included).

Bug reports

Please report all issues at my GitHub ("https://github.com/Haleth/FreeUI").

License

All rights reserved unless explicitly stated otherwise. Some code in FreeUI is taken with permission from other addons; please respect the authors of these addons as well.

Credits

FreeUI could never have been coded all by me and thus I would like to thank the following people for their addons, permissions, and/or support.

Allez, AlleyKat, Alza, Caellian, Haste, p3lim, Shantalya, Tukz, tekkub, Tuller, Wildbreath, Zork

I would also like to thank the WoWInterface community for being generally awesome.

Description

Welcome to DecUI! This is an edited version of the ElvUI ("http://www.tukui.org") version 6 platform, styled to be a bit more information-rich, with an homage to classic ElvUI/Tukui looks. ALL due credit goes to the community and contributors there for the many ideas, tweaks and fixes to the platform. Without their efforts, this compilation would not exist. /salute

Supports 1680x1050 and up, Multimonitor/Eyefinity/nVidia Surround friendly, easy to install and configure. Users of resolutions smaller than 1680x1050 can use the Low Resolution option within the UI, yet you will need to adjust elements to fit your resolution.

Installation

STEP 1 - Make a backup of your existing UI!

Go to your World of Warcraft folder.
Copy the Interface and WTF folders, and paste them into a new folder of your choice and name. This will be your backup in case you want to go back.
Delete the Interface and WTF folders in the World of Warcraft folder.STEP 2 - Follow these steps to properly set up DecUI

Extract the folders inside DecUI to your World of Warcraft folder.STEP 3 - Log in and set up your Video settings
Doing this beforehand will allow you to skip the resolution warning of the UI. Once logged in, you will be prompted to go through the in-game configuration wizard to adjust the appearance. This will happen only once per character, unless you manually reset the UI.Navigation

Clicking the "L" icon on the bottom-right of the left chat panel unlocks UI elements to be placed manually.

Remember to click the "C" icon at the bottom-left of the right chat panel for the config menu. Entering this will give you access to the in-game config options, that allows you to more easily tweak appearance settings, such as increasing/reducing the amount of action bars, datatext shown, etc.

This version includes numerous changes and additions to the standard version of ElvUI itself as well as a few addons that are listed. The goal was to unify extra functionality with a clean look and layout that would be uniform to all classes. Some addons have been edited to either match the theme that I am aiming for, or simply .TOC updates for the 5.1.0 patch. Updating these may hamper their appearance and/or functionality with DecUI.

Partial listing of addons below, attached screenshots show complete list:

MiniMap Button Bag
Auctionator
CoolLine
HelmNCloak

Also includes portions of AI-Art ("http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info15048-AI-Art.html") and MiirGui ("http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info20292-MiirGuiTexturePack.html") panel replacement art, Ferous Media ("http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/ferous-media") and pHishr's Media ("http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info14788-pHishrsMediaPack.html") status panel artwork, and Login^2 ("http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info18376-Login2CustomLoginFrames.html#info") replacement login art.

Remember!
Explore your world - you have complete control over how the UI displays information of almost any type. Don't like how something looks? Change it/disable it/tweak it! That's what all those addons and options are for!

_NPCScan.Overlay (5.0.0.3)

$
0
0
_NPCScan.Overlay is an addition to _NPCScan (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info12995-_NPCScan.html) that adds map overlays for rare mob patrols. When you search for a rare in _NPCScan, _NPCScan.Overlay will show where it patrols until you find it. It works similarly to keithgabryelski's Rare Spawn Overlay (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13316-RareSpawnOverlay.html), but supports the minimap and has a much smaller download size, along with a few new features.

Special thanks to Rare Spawn Overlay's patrol paths and Routes (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11401-Routes.html)' minimap drawing code for inspiration!

Note: _NPCScan.Overlay can integrate with _NPCScan if you have installed it, but make sure to keep both up to date if you do use both!

Details

World Map

In addition to drawing paths on the World Map, _NPCScan.Overlay adds a key to a corner of the window with each rare's name. It only appears in zones that have rare maps, like Netherstorm as seen in the screenshot. If you need to read something under the key, just move your mouse over top of it and the key will jump to a different corner.

Most map mods like Atlas (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info3896-Atlas.html) will inherit the key and overlays from this module. Even Carbonite (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info12965-Carbonite.html)'s map display will show them.

Battlefield Minimap

The small Battlefield Minimap (AKA the Zone Map) also shows mob paths.

Minimap

All shapes and sizes of minimaps are supported. Rotating minimaps work fine as well.

Also shown in the minimap's screenshot is the found range ring highlighting where Dirkee probably was when the alert went off. That is, Dirkee was seen at the middle of that ring, and he could have been anywhere within the 100 yard ring around that point.

One feature not shown in the screenshot is a thinner 100 yard range ring around your character. It helps you gauge _NPCScan's detection range, so you can sweep through zones more effectively. This option can be found in the Minimap subsection of the options panel, detailed below.

Options

_NPCScan.Overlay's options can be found under _NPCScan's main options menu, under _NPCScan > Overlay, or as its own entry of _NPCScan.Overlay if _NPCScan isn't installed. This panel can be opened with the /npcscanoverlay slash command, or /overlay for short.

The Always show all paths checkbox at the top of the pane overrides the instructions of NPC tracking mods like _NPCScan to hide unused paths, and always displays all known paths instead.

The rest of the configuration pane lists each map display's options. You can enable/disable each map from here, as well as configure individual settings for them.

Each map display can have its overall transparency set independently with the Alpha slider, so that it doesn't obscure the maps themselves.

Wullie's UI

Patch 5.3 Ready!

This is my UI which is mainly focused around healing (my main is a holy paladin), however I've found it also works great as DPS or as a tank.

The UI is based around 1920x1080 resolution although it works with most resolutions.

You can see my UI in action on YouTube ("http://www.youtube.com/user/Saltire35/videos?sort=dd&flow=grid&page=1&view=0") or live on TwitchTV ("http://www.twitch.tv/saltire35").
(These videos are slightly out of date now and I don't live stream anymore either, but they should give you a rough estimate of what my UI is like).

All credit goes to the individual addon authors, without them this UI would not have been possible.

Installation Instructions:

1. Make a backup of your WTF, Interface & Fonts (if you have one) folders.
2. Download and extract my UI to your desktop.
3. Go into the WTF folder, enter the Account folder, and rename the folder called YOURACCOUNTNAME to your own account name all in caps.
4. Enter the YOURACCOUNTNAME folder and change the folder called YourServer into your server name.
5. Enter the YourServer folder and change the folder YourCharacter (Select Healer or DPS/Tank) into your character name.
6. Put my WTF, Fonts and Interface folder in the place where your own folders used to be.
7. When installing for the first time, make sure you select "Load out of date Addons".
8. Once installed and in the game for the first time, type the following:
/bar and select profile Wulliee-Draenor.
/raven and select profile Wulliee-Draenor.
Frequently Asked Questions:

1. I am based in USA, how can I make your UI work on my server?

Open the new WTF folder and edit Config.wtf using notepad. Find the line that says (SET locale "****") and make it say (SET locale "enUS") and save.
2. How do I move the mouseover tooltip?
Use MoveAnything, search on tooltip, click tooltip and move it to where you want.

Welcome to my custom user interface.
I use a 24" monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution.
But you could also use it with your own resolution,
maybe you have to adjust some parts of the UI.

The installation guidelines are in the CaithUI.rar
But you can watch here a small ingame tutorial how to get started

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Btf3WKKzsn0

I use a couple of addons to modify my UI

RESOLUTION: 1920X1080

A sleek looking, minimalist, all purpose Rogue UI.

Everything is set to track buffs/debuffs/procs/CD times in PvE and should require next to no setup.

Although this is set up to be Rogue specific, you can simply use any character class.

For PvP target defensive cooldowns are tracked via Weakauras, and personal CC abilities via icons above nameplates.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Directions:

The person who downloads this has to unpack everything using an application which can unzip folders (Winzip, etc.), and then put all the folders in his / her World of Warcraft folder.

Copy your current WTF/Interface folders to your desktop to back them up before installing.

You then place the downloaded WTF/Interface folders into your Wow directory in their place.

When you download this, edit the folders to rename them from the generic "Account Name", "Server", "Character" to your actual accountname - the same goes for the server- and characternames. Do this first, before you even load up the game. Otherwise, the settings for everything will not take, and you may have to do it over to get everything working properly.

Upon entering game, make sure all addons are enabled! Make sure "Load out of date Addons" is checked!!!

Once loaded with all addons enabled, you will get a pop-up asking if you want to install BlkUI. Choose "Yes", and you should be pretty much good to go.

If any profiles for specific addons have issue loading, you may choose the Blk_UI profile for said addon.

You can then copy your bindings-cache.wtf and macros-cache.txt in from your backed up desktop folders, and keep your previous macros/keybindings.

Don't update Sharedmedia or Sharedmedia: Additional Fonts, as they it will overwrite the in-game font settings.

FreeUI (6.6)

$

0

A: Esc -> Interface -> Action bars.

Mono UI (12.1.3)

$

http://i.imgur.com/D1RnG.png

If you update to MonoUI 12.0 (+) from previous versions, you have to perform full reinstall of this UI.
Make sure to check CHANGE LOG as there's been allot of changes made including .cfg files structures.

This UI was originally designed for multiple resolutions ranging from 1280*1024 to 1920*1080.
So unless your resolution is lower than 1280*XXX you should need no changes to use this interface
Most add-ons are configured through editing lua files and do not have any GUI.
If you don't want to learn HOW TO modify those files - don't use this UI.
Also please keep in mind that I develop this interface to fit MY needs, thus
if you want some specific functionality implemented - you got to explain why that particular feature is so important.

Short Information:
specially for TL/DR people

What it is:

Easy to set-up,
Lightweight & CPU-friendly,
Minimalistic Interface with support for multiple resolutions.

What it's NOT:
easy to configure (all configuration options are located in .lua files);
SUPER-OMFGWTFBBQ-lightweight (because sometimes usability > memory usage);
single add-on UI (I like to keep it sort of modular).

Installation:
1) *IMPORTANT* Back up your Fonts, Interface and WTF folders before you even look at any of the files inside the package.

2) Unpack this archive into your WOW folder

Fine-tunning:
LUA Editor:
To edit lua files (like cfg.lua) you should use one of the available editors with code highlight like Notepad++ or SciTe (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4989-SciTE-WOWInterface.html).

Few useful slash commands
/extra - show extra action bars
/kb - enter keybinding mode
/rd - remove everyone from raid/party, disband the group
/rc - ready check
/cr - role check
/gm - open GM ticket
/ss - initiate talent specialization and gear set swap
/rtp - convert group from raid to party
/ptr - convert group from party to raid
/teleport - teleports to instance when in LFG instance

Interface tunning
/en ADDONNAME - enable specific add-on
/dis ADDONNAME - disable specific add-on
/rl - reloadUI
/clc - manual combat log reset
/pnl - spawn grid on your screen to adjust position of your addons
/tm - show all action bars holders
/gf - print full frame information under your mouse
/setchat - sets your chat window to default position
/ssr - switch resolution from 1920x1080 windowed(fullscreen) to 1280x720 windowed and back

Mount macro:
This macro will automatically pick a mount for you based on whether its possible or not using a specific type of mount.
/script Mountz("your_ground_mount","your_flying_mount","your_water_mount")
the addon will pick a propper mount depends on the location you are in (including Vashj'ir). Holding CTRL will override flyable condition, and holding ALT will override swimable condition in Vashj'ir.

Extra information (F.A.Q.):
Do not ask me any questions about how to change this interface to fit your needs.
Do not use auto-updaters to download new versions of add-ons.
BACKUP your cfg.lua files and everything else you modified before you update to the latest version.

hovering your mouse with ALT key pressed over an itemlink, achievement or ability in chat window will bring up the tooltip
you can set custom auto-invite word in m_Tweaks\cfg.lua (default one is 'inv')
you can access MicroMenu buttons (charracter, friends etc.) by right-clicking Minimap.
right click the "Config" button to make extra actionbars bars visible, middle click allows you to enter key-binding mode.
m_Tweaks contains various interface modifications and QoL scripts that will automate some procedures in game for you. If you want to disable some functionality check cfg.lua.

You can associate your equipment set with your current spec by ALT+clicking the required set in Broker_Equipment dropdown tooltip. That will 'tie' selected set to the current spec so next time you swap talents to this spec the add-on will automatically swap your gear set.

To set your party frames look like raid frames open oUF_mono\cfg.lua and then under raid category find and change = false, value to true and in 'party' section = true, to false.

MonoUI v.12 introduces new way to manage your cfg.lua files and more importantly keep them when you update your UI. This feature's handled by !mCFG add-on. You can simply paste your cfg.lua files in a respective folder and all MonoUI add-ons will be able to use those local versions of configuration files. In case you want to switch back to the default state of the UI, but keep all your modifications - you can simply disable !mCFG add-on.
